Elizabethtown - I thought you liked this movie? Or was it just not as good as it could have been?
Saving Face - totally agree with you...this was a very entertaining movie.
Kiera Knightly - Not until P&P did you think she could act?

Well... I didn't think Keira was horrible. It's just she showed a lot more range in P&P than I thought she did in previous work. She was good for what she had to go with, but they were, to a certain extent, fairly fluffy roles.

And I did not like Elizabethtown, was disappointed in almost every way. I don't feel like doing a review so I will not go into why just quality wise it was a big step down... I was hoping for an "Almost Famous" and got something entirely different.

Well I understand where you are coming from. Almost Famous is a terrific movie a real experience. AF is one of those movies that sets a standard for the director that I then expect them to hit every time they make a movie (which I know is not fair). I did like Jerry Maguire and Say Anything is still a classic for me. Even his average movies have some originality though.

I liked "Jerry Macguire" and also "Singles". I guess there is a point here, not everyone hits every time. Even Charlie Kaufman, the mostly insanely genius person in the movie business today, perhaps the greatest screenwriter ever, bombed once with "Human Nature".
